Travel, Arrival!

It was a relatively smooth day for four of us. Don, Bill, Will arrived from Houston and I arrived from Miami. Roatan was sunny and warm! The immigration line moved the fastest I’ve ever seen it and we had to wait for our bags at the claim area!! It was like coming home when we pulled into the AKR driveway. After collecting the MVA case and dropping all bags off at the room, Bill and I went over to Bailey’s Key to see the dolphins. Kami is longer than Gizmo (see photo) and they are still best buddies! Buzz was still with his mom, and Rocky and Tank were rough-housing in the back area. All in all a great start, even if a brief visit to see everyone. It was also lovely to see Denry, Waleska, Jocelyn, Carl, Dante, Chris, and meet Jerome.

Bill, Don, Will and I connected for supper and I updated Will on the dolphins and the data collection process while also trying not to overwhelm him on his first night. We are a small group this week but I think we’ll have a good time and collect much data.

The MVA is together. My snorkel gear and the data clipboard is ready and it’s time for sleep. Until tomorrow,

Cheers
