Sustainability at Anthony’s Key Resort (2022): On the northwest shore of Roatan, Honduras, lies Anthony’s Key Resort (AKR), which is home to the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences (RIMS). AKR has made strides toward a more sustainable form of tourism. AKR’s blueprint engages travelers and the travel industry in supporting goals that include protecting the environment and addressing plastic consumption. It is no long enough to deliver a positive tourist experience; the experience must be done in a sustainable way.

On the northwest shore of Roatan, lies Anthony’s Key Resort, AKR, which is home to the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences, where more than 20 Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and more that 60 guest bungalows are situated.

DCP’s Reading Study (2025): How do dolphins respond to learned 3D and 2D symbols? DCP been working with the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences for a couple decades and Marineland in Antibes for a few years. This type of research is highly enriching for the dolphins, and it is very informative for researchers.

What happens when dolphins are trained to “do something different?”

DCP College Field Course (2017): DCP partners with many universities for our field courses to Anthony’s Key Resort & the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences. Our longest partnership is with Dr. Shane Kanatous and Colorado State University. This short film showcases our 2017 program!
