The morning dawned cloudy with a stiff breeze and a bit of a current in the water. But visibility was ok and I was able to collect a 30 min session of video data. I earned my breakfast with the current strength. There was lots of play – Gizmo with sea grass (featured) as well as Sandy, Trixie, and Kami wrestle play with whistles and bubbles. There were some mom/calf pair swims and some surfing by a few dolphins. A good morning overall.
Bill, Don, and Will again made the shuttle bus trek to the south side of Roatan to dive and had two good dives and saw some critters not common to the NW side. They were suitably tired after lunch. Will came by to observe the dolphins in the afternoon and then we checked out the shore dive spot – rolling waves breaking against the dive shed and a giant tree blocking the entry. Amazing what they waves have been doing these last few days.
Tomorrow is our last data collection session for this trip.
Until then,
Cheers
