We observed dolphins three times today! With data collection in the morning, then our encounter and swim with them after breakfast, and, in the afternoon, some of us returned to Bailey’s Key to hang out with the dolphins while the trainers wrapped up the last session for the day. It was a day filled with stunning experiences all revolving around dolphins. Elli brought her young son to us during the swim – they are our featured photo today. And there were big groups swimming around us: Kami, Sandy, and Georgie were hanging out together. Buzz, Rocky, and Tank paid LOTS of attention to Kathleen when she tried to collect data in the morning.
We met Buzz during our encounter with Clenny. Buzz was rambunctious and very tactile. You can see our backs below as we focused on Buzz and what the trainer was saying.

After the AM session, we headed to breakfast, though Manon, Christine, and Kathleen returned to their room to get cleaned up for breakfast. Connor was water taxi boat captain!

The afternoon was filled with dives and snorkeling. Lots of fish were observed and photo documented. It was a wet but fun day. Tomorrow brings us to Maya Key after more dolphin observations.
Cheers
