StMU R3 collected their last AM data session this morning. We had EXCELLENT (WOW!!!!!) underwater visibility and observed lots of neat social behavior. Ronnie and several other dolphins were trying to catch fish from just below the water surface. Gracie used the rub rope for long, lengthy body scratches, and Sandy and Tank and Buzz and Rocky were chasing each other and doing some jawing activity.

We took a group photo at Bailey’s Key after our data session (see below). You can see Manon in there as a shadow in the foreground.

Manon had a chance to observe just Lenca, Stan, and Champ with Shasling as she was doing a training session. They each seemed to pose for their own close-up photo! You can see Lenca as the feature photo and Stan and Champ below.

The StMU group had a delicious breakfast, shared the last two days of Panoramic photos with Kathleen, and then departed for the airport and flights home. The CSU group was supposed to arrive today but has been one day delayed due to a travel snafu! We look forward to welcoming them tomorrow!
John arrived and enjoyed a bit of a relaxing time on the porch with Kathleen and Manon – what a great selfie!

We unpacked and settled in and chatted about data collection plans for this coming week.
Until tomorrow and the CSU group’s field course name …
Cheers
Kathleen, Manon & John
