Another Sunny, Animal-filled Day!

We began our day early with data collection – In the featured photo you can see Marie, Bill and Morgan ready to document my entry (Thank you, Don, for the photo!). The greeting party took a few minutes to come over, but they were enamored of my fins for a bit of time during this AM session.

Lots of contact and loud vocalizations filled this session. The underwater vis was not great, but it was ok for data collection.

The rest of our group’s day was spent snorkeling or SCUBA diving. Today was the Maya Key picnic and everyone had a delightful day. Before they went to Maya Key we even saw one of the new residents to the tiny rocky reef area near the water taxi stand on Anthony’s Key! Yes, a long, robust moray eel!

It was a great day both in and on the water. We are hoping the predicted/forecasted rain holds off and we have another great day tomorrow. It’ll include dolphin encounters and swims for Morgan, Marie, and Felicia.

Until tomorrow,

Cheers

Kathleen, Don, Marie, Morgan, Felicia, Bill
