In Florida, as we pack the last few items into our bags for travel to Roatan, it is thundery and beginning to rain. This is GOOD since we’ve been very, very dry … think “crunchy” grass but not from ice and snow. From not enough water. But I digress. We are wrapping up details for our next two programs to Roatan. Our first week is an ecotour with 8 participants and the two of us. Six of these folks (whom you’ll meet tomorrow and Sunday through the blog) are new to a DCP program. Two (Bill and Savanna) are repeat offenders! We look forward to seeing the dolphins and how much the young dolphins have grown. I wonder if Kami and Gizmo are still BFFs and if Georgie is hanging out with them or with Trixie, Sandy or the young boys? It feels like a long time and also the blink of an eye since we were at Anthony’s Key (AKR) and the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences (RIMS) in January.
Stay tuned for more news after our arrival tomorrow. For now, we share one of our favorite photos of some of the dolphins at RIMS to whet your appetites! This weekend should bring us our 15th underwater data collection session of 2025! Tilly previously brought Kathleen seagrass … here’s hoping we see more object play!
Cheers
Kathleen & Manon
