Ever wondered what it’s like to be an intern with the Dolphin Communication Project? Brittany McIntosh, Alexis Levengood, and Sabena Siddiqui share their thoughts and experiences as DCP’s 2011 summer interns. Each of them completed an office component at DCP’s headquarters in Connecticut before joining Kelly Melillo-Sweeting, Bimini Field Research Manager, on the beautiful island of Bimini, the Bahamas. They speak about what got them inspired to pursue a career studying marine mammals, what it’s like to swim with wild dolphins for the first time, and offer advice to young students dreaming of an internship as a dolphin researcher.
