A long day on the boat for Tabby

Tabby spent the morning snorkeling & SCUBA diving at Turtle Rocks, an area just south of Bimini.  We both reviewed some video after lunch before heading to dolphin trip #29.  It was a small group, some of whom have been with us since the start of this busy boat run last Saturday.  The dolphins however were apparently not very keen to come by the boat.  Toward the end of the day we did see Tina (#14) and un-named #78, who were interested in some bow riding, but not in any human swimming.  We followed them toward the deep water, at which point they took off, so we returned to shallow water to continue our search.  Just minutes before sunset, we did see un-named #25, Freckles (#15) & at least 2 calves.  We got in the water quickly, since we were losing light, and got a quick dolphin “swim by.”  Of course, it was great to at least see the dolphins, and after the fantastic run of trips we’ve had this week, no one was complaining, least of all the dolphin researchers who have plenty of video to review!  With our run of 8 dolphin trips over, we’ll take tomorrow off.  Monday & Tuesday will be data days, with some fun things for Tabby mixed in before she returns to Connecticut on Wednesday.    Until then,  Tabby & Kel
