Hurricane Dennis is far from the island, but is affecting us nonetheless
Well, it’s been a very quiet three days, as Hurricane Dennis, which is hundred of miles from Bimini, brings lots of wind to Bimini. The seas are rough and Chalk’s, the seaplane which provides service from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to North Bimini, stopped flying yesterday. And since there are no flights in or out of the island today, Saturday, it means Kel’s mother and brother are spending the night in Ft. Lauderdale. Hopefully they will be flying tomorrow morning- they have lots of people who need to get off and onto the island.
There is a boat trip tomorrow- we’ll see if the winds calm down enough to go out.
