Another DCP Ecotour is about to Begin!

DCP’s 2023 Ecotour to Roatan and Anthony’s Key Resort (AKR) and The Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences (RIMS) begins on Saturday – woohoo! Actually, Bill got a head start and is flying to Roatan today. The rest of us (11 in total) travel on Saturday to Roatan from various locales in the USA. I’m very much looking forward to returning to catch up with the training staff and, of course, to see the dolphins, to see how much the calves have grown, and how feisty the subadults (aka teenagers) are and what their new antics might be!

We have a full group this trip with some long-term supporters (thank you Bill, Don, & John), some mid-term supporters (woohoo Louise, Shannon, & Kate), and a few newbies (welcome Linnea, Stephanie, Dick, Scott & Irma!). My intro statement almost sounds like U.S. politics! But we’ll have none of that this week.

The only two who cannot join us are Baloo and Hazel … they tried putting a couple of squeaky toys into my suitcase earlier today, but I know they’ll miss them at home. (Thank you, Savanna, for pup-sitting!)

Stay tuned for daily updates from the field as we take DCP’s 2023 ecotour to Roatan and AKR and RIMS.

Cheers

Kathleen & DCP’s 2023 Ecotour Team

P.S. here’s the toy pile I pulled out of my bag! Hazel is persistent!
