Today marked the first day for the new Dolphin Immersion program at Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration (MAIFE). This program takes place twice a day in the Immersion Theater at the aquarium and features DCP’s research. It includes a live phone link with Kathleen from Japan in the morning and with us from Bimini in the afternoon. Yesterday’s test run gave us the opportunity to try out the phone lines and MAIFE’s speaker system and today’s “real thing” went well! A lot of interesting questions were asked by the audience members and we did our best to answer them clearly and concisely. We hope to be running this program each day for the rest of the summer.
We look forward to getting back on the boat this Saturday and hope for a great turnout from the dolphins! We’ll keep you updated!
