DCP is currently conducting research at several geographic locations. We continue our studies of Atlantic spotted dolphins in the Bahamas with our focus since 2002 on the dolphin group around the Bimini Islands. In 2003, we expanded our photo-identification study on these spotted dolphins to include video recordings of their sounds and behavior using a mobile video/acoustic system.

Our Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin research around Mikura Island, Japan, is ongoing. In 2005, Justin Gregg will begin field work around Mikura with data collection for DCP's archives as well as for his dissertation work. Kathleen will introduce Justin to Mikura Island and her residents - both human and dolphin.

In 2003, DCP began a study of captive dolphin behavior following exactly our protocol for data collection and analyses of both wild groups. This study is in Roatan, Honduras. We study the dolphins at the Roatan Institute for Marine Science that is housed at Anthony's Key Resort on Roatan, Honduras.
